A glimpse of the Past: Poultry Show 2010
How time really flies by! This was our exhibit at the 2010 Poultry Show at the same venue about a year ago. We had a live chicken display of ready-to-harvest chickens at the center of the Bounty Fresh Group of Companies booth and a brooder cage for showcasing Bounty Fresh free-range day-old chicks that we sold to interested customers.
Free-range chicken farming is relatively still in it's infancy stage here in our country. Most people are still accustomed to the more common industrial white broilers or what we fondly call "45-days" chicken and our native chicken. Only a handful of us knew about hybrid meat-type chickens that are fast growing but can be reared the same as our native chicken. That is why it is important for us to display live chickens during exhibits so that people will get an idea what Bounty Fresh Free-range chicken looks like and increase awareness about free-range chicken farming in our country. Our live chicken displays always attract a lot of curious faces and kids that drag their parents to show them the chickens. Bounty Fresh Free-range chicken is sort of a cross between a white industrial broiler and a native chicken but entirely a different strain from the two. It is a strain specifically bred for free-range production that combines the fast-growing characteristic of the white industrial broilers and the hardiness and meat taste of native chickens. We import our parent stocks regularly so that we can continuously produce high quality free-range day-old chicks for the market.
This year, we will be showcasing our live chickens again as well as selling Bounty Fresh free-range day-old chicks at the exhibit but with a different setting. So please do drop by at our booth during The Philippine Poultry Show and Gamefowl Congress 2011! see you there!
